A 17 year old girl needed urgent medical attention but was refused care because she could not afford the €4 required for diagnostics. Only after Stop Poverty guaranteed payment did she receive treatment. After several days of hospitalization, she recovered.

Another case involved a 19 year old girl suffering from acute malaria who lost consciousness. Without immediate transportation to the hospital in Jinja, she would not have survived.

Additionally, one of our teachers was admitted to a government hospital but was unable to purchase her prescribed medication. Stop Poverty provided the necessary medicines.
